bell hooks was a widely revered and often cited author, theorist, and social critic who wrote at (and about) the intersection of race, class, and gender.
Her books were and remain incredibly influential (I’ll be writing about some of them this year), but did you know she collaborated with the illustrator Chris Raschka and wrote many children’s books?
It’s true.
Grump, Grown, Growl is one of my favorites. It’s a good book about bad moods and how to face, feel, and let them pass. A lesson for adults, too—ahem.
